Desk Report:
The announcement video of the movie ‘King‘ was released on Shah Rukh Khan’s birthday on November 2. Shah Rukh surprised everyone with his action-packed look at the first look. His look is also the center of discussion now. However, along with the praise, Shah Rukh’s costume has also sparked controversy.
In a scene of the 1 minute 11 second video, Shah Rukh is seen wearing a mustard yellow jacket with a blue shirt and black glasses. Then criticism started on social media. Many claimed that Shah Rukh’s look was copied from Brad Pitt’s look in the Hollywood movie ‘F One’. He has worn such clothes and dyed his hair white in imitation of actor Brad Pitt. However, Shah Rukh fans are reluctant to accept comparisons with anyone else with their favorite actor. Now, Siddharth Anand, the producer of the movie King, has spoken about Shah Rukh’s look.
While there is a storm on social media regarding Shah Rukh and Pitt’s costumes, the X handle Apna Bollywood wrote, ‘The arguments of the haters are quite funny. If there is a fighter jet in a Bollywood movie, it is a copy of Top Gun. If there is a ship, it is a copy of Titanic. If the clothes match, it is a copy of F1, orange clothes mean anti-Hindu, their IQ level has been buffering since 1947.’
In that post, a collage of pictures from King and F1 movies has been added to a picture from the movie ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’, where Shah Rukh is seen in a similar outfit. Many wrote in the comments section that Shah Rukh wore a similar outfit eight years ago. Siddharth Anand reacted to that post with two smile emojis. Earlier, his movie ‘Fighter’ was called a copy of ‘Top Gun’. Again, there was a religious controversy over Deepika Padukone’s saffron bikini in Shah Rukh’s movie ‘Pathan’.
The shooting of the movie King is still going on. Apart from Shah Rukh, it also stars Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Arshad Warsi, Suhana Khan, etc. The announcement video has announced that the film will be released in 2026.
